...

sometimes i contemplate flunking all my exams spectacularly. it's comforting to know you've hit rock bottom before, and that you can't go any farther.

but this is probably not a good time.

i remember, in primary school, how i deliberately made a mistake in my chinese paper so that i would have something to correct when i double-checked it.
of course, me being me, i forgot.
a second after i handed it in, i realised.
i asked the teacher for my script back. the teacher refused, of course. what could i tell him/her? that i wrote the wrong answer on purpose? (he/she tried really hard to console me, though.)
i think i cried, then. over a mark. a mark! in primary school! but it was more at the sheer stupidity of the whole situation.
i never got my script back, and i never did it again.

this is the me who ate grass in kindergarten, and in primary school poked holes in the caps of fizzy drink bottles with a nametag so that the drink fountains out into your mouth when you shake it.
erm.

nowadays, we don't get to double-check.

i will prevail! by studying 5 things a day!
then i'll look for an exam unimportant enough to flunk.
and contemplate.

fine!

i shall give up on the cambridge choral awards because auditions are in none other than cambridge!

i do not think cambrige will pay for a two-way air ticket for a foreign student.

inception

i watched Inception.

(... with my mum.)

it was a last-minute thing (the cinema had a single seat left by the time we got to the counter).

intriguing concept, and beautiful plan.
i won't say more - theorizing about it needs re-watching to look out for details and rules of the dream world.
i'd probably regret what i say, anyway.

many things still don't add up. i don't think they're supposed to. we're supposed to make them add up on our own, or live with the questions.

the only thing is, i feel it didn't match up to all the hype.
probably because i've been exposed to too much hype.

anyway, that makes the second excellent movie i've watched for 6 bucks this year (the first being shutter island).
:D

(i went to look up the definition of "inception" - it summarizes the movie beautifully.)

on a side note, Vampires Suck is funny. (funnier if you've actually watched the twilight movies. even funnier if you didn't like it.)

i feel like i've sinned putting the words "inception" and "twilight" on the same post. but hey, i still like the book. i think.

無し

have you ever wondered what the music of the future will sound like?

will the japanese music industry be a lame trend of the past?
will the pop singers today be mumbling old geezers who can't be understood?
will it be techno? crazy, bleary rock? new genres with names that come from space? people naming their own music?
maybe the music then won't have words. nor melodies.

new instruments!

what if we go into an era where people are too afraid of damaging their ears? like what makeup with lead is to us. beautification/ entertainment but lethal.

that'd be horrible.

no matter what, i'd like to stay on top of it all. it's always interesting to see how far you can go.

どうしよう...って聞いても遅いんだな

i decided, after a long internal struggle, that i shall go on with the monbushou thing and sit for the exams on wednesday.

it's 6 bloody hours long!
(with math! calculators prohibited!)

it's a pain, since i'm not exactly serious about it.

is it worth the time and skipping school, i wonder.

prelims studying schedule is screwed ah.
