i think i whacked someone quite hard at the j8 bus stop and she actually "OI"-ed at me very loudly. oops. and i didn't apologize somemore. >< if i ever see her again i'll run away, i tell you.
i'm frickin cold now because i'm still recovering from the combined effects of sharing an umbrella in the heaviest rain this year when we walk to moelc, the aircon in the classroom, my wet jacket, standing in the wind for 15 minutes while my dad's car was stuck along the expressway and the like.
erm, sorry llt! P: throwing you out in the rain. next time bring your own umbrella. XD

hooked on サカナクション (Sakanaction)'s album シンシロ (Shinshiro).
i just randomly got it because it has the single which hit #1 on oricon.
eh ... it's quite new! and scary sometimes. and different.
Sakanaction plays club and house and electronica, and it takes
a lot to get used to them.
there are also many many catchy tracks that get stuck in your head.
maybe i'll review this next time. heh, i really like the lead's voice.
i think they warrant a label. they're that addictive.

watching on veoh is so shuang!!!!! so clear! and the drawings seem to have improved and all! (not that i have any right to judge because i've barely watched it XD)
super frustrated now because i want to watch all the previous seasons in high quality but it's just not happening.
all the searches churn out megavideo. and tudou just loads so slowwwwww.
and they teach you how to draw zetsubou-sensei! *delighted* i am learning the song, i am definitely going to! then i will spam every sheet of paper with zetsubou-sensei's head!

1:

i'm not really, because suddenly a lot of people hate you. suddenly you're in a one-metre radius invisible hemisphere barrier. you don't have the right to complain about anything. you don't really know what to say.

the school population is unfair to SMTP. maybe HP as well, as much as i dislike to admit. they're just people who ... do things differently? and then they're labelled and ostracised and used as a bashing board, even though the school loves them.
well, maybe that will hold for just today.

sometimes things come out wrong when i say them and i just end up not saying anything.
other times i worry that i'm bothering people.
but i'm still listening, i am.

it doesn't matter where you live, what matters is that there are people you want to go home with going home with you.

mad cow day was highly highly highly amusing.
i think said cow reached the same mental state as gecko did when she slept for 1 hour and came to school punning her head off.
we're probably all secretly that crazy inside, just that we hide our craziness behind a facade just to get along with society. and maybe adults, who forgot how to remove it. then when we let it out, it's addictive and we can't stop.

having your life planned out for you by the almighty government, running around this big place called school and spending most of your time in stuffy boxes with no ventilation called classrooms when all you want to do is to live like a certain shinya-san and run around highland fields and all the beautiful
space and not deal with people sucks.
7 is the most magical number. 8 is the most symmetrical. i don't know what's wrong with my brain these days. it's not standing up for itself.
i think i need 3 weeks or more to recuperate from blocks. but there's not enough time! i can't deny reward for 2 years!

eleven minutes is interesting.
i mean it! i don't know what's the big fuss, actually. it's an intellectual, thought-provoking and fascinating book. and no, it's not depressing. (as expected from paulo coelho. and there's a reference to The Alchemist inside. ;D)
we probably all know it but make fun of it anyway. and let gecko read it lah shouldn't deprive her of a good book.
haven't finished it yet, but getting a lot of new ways of looking at things.

lots of H1N1 happenings today.
well, importance of social responsibility and all.
by the way, my mum doesn't seem too shocked by what i told her ... maybe my rendition's not as impactful? she's more busy complaining to the cake shop.
lots of people are unhappy with each other, and not being straightforward with each other, and it's not solely one person's fault.
i've long since learnt to make only friends. it's just not worth the energy, you know? you win sometimes and lose sometimes when you're facing off with someone. daoing is better.
plus, there's the immeasurable sense of guilt afterwards, especially if you're the one who started it. (one of the worst mistakes in my childhood, i still don't know why i did it.)
lots of people are developing fevers as well, ain't it exciting and wonderful for our well-being? =.=
and the school's
still not telling us anything.

tapestry and the stupid school
went to takashimaya to watch tapestry just now.
hm, seeing qr and yiran dance was quite cool. and all the 401 people, of course. (but i've seen them dance before.)
and my spot was quite bad, seeing their backs most of the time.
haha my mum was very interested in the guys. XD especially the bboys.
(the band before them wasn't half bad, because the guitars drowned out the whiny lead's voice.)

what is with the school and all schools and MOE in general? (apparently it's the same in my sis' school too.) do they sincerely think it will do us good by hushing things up?

the only lesson i was sober in was bio lecture. but that's because it's transcription and translation.

for the first time in my life, i'm finding local cip meaningful.
tutoring kids at this clementi place. (zixin's SL)
due to their background, they're lagging in their studies.
it helps that i've gone through student care, and bangalore, and my three atrocious cousins (i teach them how to do their homework from time to time.) and that the kid today was nice. (she reminded me of the bright kid in my class in bangalore.)
bangalore was meaningful, but it was too short and too far away. (proves that OCIP isn't effective P:)
for once it really feels like i have the ability to help them, even though it's not much.
i didn't expect such a drastic change in mindset. i've always thought that cip was crap and portfolio and superficial and all. but it happened, somehow. and on the long long bus ride home, i thought about it, and decided that i'm just going to do this.
and something about the place just reminds me of student care again. the rowdiness and messiness.

new band found
the name's "lostage".
well ... it was SURRENDER that got me kind of hooked (thanks to nano-mugen). because the intro is so captivating. (the angst and rock and sleekness and emotion are perfectly balanced, damn nice!)
so i went to find the lyrics, and ended up at their pv. which is really just the band playing in a room, that's all, really simple.
and then i ended up watching their other 2 pvs (one of them's completely in red and blue, it hurts the eyes).
the lead singer has a really really weird voice (more like surreal) that takes
some a lot of getting used to. but the guitars = bliss. exactly the kind of sound i was looking for.
the thing that struck me was how they're so unloved. :P
like the pv for SURRENDER only has 7 hits and the others only have 1 hit each.
despite the fact that they have albums dating back to 2006. that's not exactly new.
and there're 0 comments, and no lyrics, and no fans, from a site that usually churns out all the comments by fans and whatnot when i watch ajikan and UVERworld and all the better-known bands on the same site.
i think they're underappreciated. maybe people get scared away by the lead. or maybe they're more popular in japan? i can only hope. it'd be a freaking waste of talent, otherwise.
i'll wait around and see if i'm in the mood to go off venturing into foreign territory, then i might go get more of their stuff. their 2008 single doesn't sound bad, already.

found this colour palette that has the sexiest greys ever. i want to slather my (real) walls with them. it was the only colour palette that i thought was pretty enough to look at everyday.

my first ever nano-mugen compilationanyway the main point of the nano-mugen compilation is to promote NANO-MUGEN FESTIVAL, which means AJIKAN LIVE. (with some of those bands up there, i think a lot of the english ones are going to japan.)
AHHHHHHHH I SWEAR I WILL SAVE MONEY AND RUN OFF TO JAPAN WHEN I START EARNING MY OWN MONEY AND GO TO NANO-MUGEN FES I WANTTTTTT. jap bands never
ever come (solos are another story).

blocks are OVER!
getting owned by telomeres was
not cool. they are supposed to be my favourite chromosome parts.
my brain is supposed to be mushy and fluffy and in dreamland now, but somehow a lot of things happened after bio that made me think about life in general (here we go again) and it is not in full swing post-blocks celebratory mood now. but i got post-bio adrenaline rush and i don't feel like sleeping!
takeaways:
1. CT changing, bio tutor changing, i DO NOT LIKE the in-your-face elitism of the school, it is freaking irritating. just when bio was going so well, too. i'll really go break someone's neck if the new teacher kills of my interest. (but i shall have faith in the bio department.)
okay i shall not play a part in spreading rumours. changing teachers never works, look at what happened with greg goh. ):
2. jap class dinner which consisted of 6 people (haha), of which 5 are hc. =.= okay, it's considered an achievement considering the size and diversity of our class (that's about 40% turnup! :D). and then we talked about stuff you don't get to talk about in hc. :D and did the AA "itadakimasu" at yoshi. (oh it's DAMN SHUANG to do itadakimasu with jap people. and when you do "gochisou sama" people complete it for you with "deshita". :D) it was, oh, all very interesting.
3. i don't like people spoiling my image of other people. i really really don't. it's like being unfair to them and not giving me a chance to get to know them. of course, they may turn out to be what everyone says, but hearing impressions from other people instead of getting impressions of a person myself seems like poisoning the well (XD) too much and it makes me uneasy somehow.
4. learning to appreciate my school although we don't have classrooms and it is damn elitist, because there are people out there longing to get in and regretting they didn't. oh, and appreciating ny a lot more, too. (it's not like i hated the place, you know, it was just the uniform.)
5. mrs foo is amusing. not in a bad way. because i'm not on the receiving end. sorry for being evil. today's pre-bio lecture and everything was good for my nerves.

To minimize the potential risk of Influenza A H1N1 infection, the school has decided to postpone the JC1 Sabbaticals (7-8 July, Wed-Thu) to a later date in Oct.
As the JC2 Block Tests will still be on, we face an acute shortage of rooms to run the JC1 timetable. To overcome this constraint, we have decided to implement our home-based E-learning modules for all JC1 students.

Lessons will follow your regular time-table according to the respective time slots. This is to facilitate real-time forum discussions by subject tutors, and that you complete your work assignment on time.
